Leana Newton

Trustee and Chair


Leana works for the Allied Irish Bank.  She has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in financial analysis and fund management, and lives in the Basford area of Nottingham. Leana was appointed to the Board in January 2013.

Craig Elder



Craig is a partner in the law firm, Browne Jacobson LLP. A qualified solicitor, Craig has a wealth of experience in the field of strategic contracts and how they affect local communities. Craig was appointed to the Board in October 2011.

Mark Spouge



Mark is a Divisional Asset Manager for Riverside Group responsible for a large team delivering an effective repairs and maintenance service throughout south and central England. He has worked in the social housing sector for 12 years and is dedicated to supporting people and communities to reach their potential. He worked in Radford and Lenton for several years and understands the positive impact that learning skills development has for local people and the wider community. Mark was appointed to the Board on 4th February 2016.


Shoaib Khan



Shoaib is a project manager with a variety of experience in the voluntary and public sector, delivering development projects and business transformation. Born and raised in Nottingham, Shoaib is currently working at Nottingham City Council.


Shoaib is an Associate Member of The Chartered Institute for IT and the Association for Project Management. Shoaib was appointed to the Board on 13th April 2017.

Rachael Kneen



Rachael is a senior HR professional with experience of working in a leadership role and a diverse business environment.  Having lived here all her life, Rachel embraces Nottingham and its diversity.  Rachael was appointed to the board on 13th March 2018.

Lorel Manders



Lorel is Partnership Manager for One Nottingham, the strategic partnership for the City, with a wealth of experience in governance, business planning, regeneration and relationship management.  Lorel has both lived and worked in the area and is passionate about equality and committed to working across organisations and communities to improve people’s lives.
