Rolling Funding Programmes

Our Summer Activities Grant Programme is now live!


Funding is available for Children & Young People's summer projects, events or activities that meet the following criteria:


  • Takes place between July 23rd - 4th Spetember
  • Provides direct benefits to local children  and/or young people within Area 4
  • Is responsive to the needs of the local communities
  • Embraces diversity
  • Has a positive impact on the local environment
  • Demonstrates good value for money

If you are a local group located in Area 4 (Arboretum, Dunkirk & Lenton, Radford & Park) you may be interested in applying for a grant to:


a) provide training to local people over the age of 30 who are not in work


The project should addresses one or more of the following:

  • Language barriers and translation issues
  • Lack of confidence and low self-esteem
  • Anxiety, stress and depression
  • Re-training and up-skilling
  • active volunteering 

b) provide a direct benefit to local people in Area 4


The project should addresses one of more of our local priorities:


  • lonliness and isolation (especially amongst senior citizens)
  • translation and conversational English support
  • community cohesion (tension between new and existing communities)
  • mental health (primary and secondary diagnosed and low level)
  • crime and community safety; and
  • poverty (especially food and fuel poverty)


We will be opening funding again for 2017/18 shortly.
