Trustee Vacancies

We are currently recruiting new Trustees to join our Board of Trustees.  


The Board ensures the effective running of the charity and is supported by a Chief Executive and small staff team. 


The Board is looking for people with a passion and commitment to make a positive impact on people's lives and a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort to the organisation.


We are keen to encourage people with HR, finance and fundraising skills to apply, who live or work in the local area close to Radford, Hyson Green, Dunkirk & Lenton, Lenton Abbey and Wollaton and have a good knowledge of Nottingham and its diverse communities.  


To be an effective Trustee, candidates should have the following skills:-

  • An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trustee.
  • Good independent judgement and strategic vision.
  • Good analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work collectively and make complex or difficult decisions.
  • Ability to remain impartial and respect confidences.
  • A commitment to equality and diversity.

Trustees Pay Tribute to Garry Bryant

Leana Newton (Chair of Trustees), Mark Spouge (Trustee) Garry Bryant (Retiring Trustee), Dave Brennan (CEO), Shoaib Khan (Trustee) and Donna Griffiths (Vice Chair)

Following his retirement at this year's AGM, the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive, Dave Brennan, paid tribute to Garry Bryant for his dedication and commitment serving as Trustee and Vice-Chair over the past 6 years.


Garry said:  “I have seen Castle Cavendish build up a strong governance, grow in strength and credibility and gain responsibilities as Area Lead.  It has been an enormous and fulfilling pleasure to have been a part of that, thank you”.


Leana Newton, Co-Chair of Trustees, thanked Garry for his hard work and tremendous attention to detail and wished him well for the future.
