The Point is a designated 'safe place' where an individual with a learning disability can come to if they get into trouble or feel unsafe, frightened or bullied.

9 out of 10 people with learning disabilities have experienced a hate incident over the last year;  this affects their ability to access businesses and services, (e.g. shops and Sports Centres) in the community and lead a full life.

The scheme is supported by Notts Police, Notts Fire & Rescue Service, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Councils

The Point has become a member of the 'Take a Seat' Initiative in support of Nottingham City Council's Age Friendly Strategic Plan.  http://nottinghamcity.gov.uk/afn

Our Age Friendly Nottingham will be displayed in the window which we hope will provide reassurance that an older person who needs to take a short rest or seat in a safe place, will receive a warm welcome.
