Job Clubs

Our Community and Employability Workers with their community partners can support you back into work through dedicated sessions within community venues.  For FREE weekly support & advice to help you back into work we are now running the following Job Clubs:

Why should I go to a Jobclub?

Finding the right job can be hard work. We offer a number of free employability support sessions at various community venues across Radford, Hyson Green, Lenton & Dunkirk every week. We provide a warm and friendly welcome anyone who’s looking for work, an apprenticeship, training or volunteering opportunities. Your local jobclub will have the staff, resources and contacts that will make you’re your search for work a lot easier than doing it alone.

What will you provide for me at jobclub?

Qualified Careers Advisors are on hand at each Jobclub session, ready to give you expert 1-2-1 support with whatever you need. We’ll provide you with use of a laptop computer, a printer and access to the internet with training on how to use them to jobsearch. We’ll give you details of lots of local vacancies and help you to apply for any you might be interested in. There’s free stationery, postage stamps and refreshments too. We’ll help you with

  • Online jobsearching 

  • Universal Credit

  • Creating or updating your CV

  • Writing cover letters

  • Completing application forms

  • Interview skills & preparation

  • Work Experience Placements

  • Training & Volunteering opportunites

  • Business start-up advice
